This triptych is formed by three skate decks made of 7 ply grade A Canadian maple wood. This set is hand signed by the artist and belongs to a numbered limited edition of only 50.

Many of the series of photographs created by Cindy Sherman share a reflection on how we build our identity in relation with the social environment in which we live. In many ways, personalities define individuals in characters, or role players, an idea that is present in the Clowns series.

Cindy Sherman takes up the aesthetics of clowns to investigate the representation of emotions and their cultural reception. Among the many series of photographs created by Cindy Sherman this one has a huge existencial charge but also a dark (we could almost say evil) side, marked by the facial expressions and poses of the character, that contrasts with vibrant colours and the preconceived idea of the Clown we all have.
