Product Details

This is a Diasec laminated giclée on aluminium composite panel. The work is hand signed and numbered by Invader on the label on the back. Rubik Shot Red Marilyn belongs to a limited edition of 774 copies.

Because of the six colour pattern that Rubik cubes provide, Invader works turn to be almost abstract and just like it happens with puntillist art, the forms are better conceived from afar.

In this case, iconic 1967 portrait of Marilyn Monroe, famously known thanks to Pop Art master Andy Warhol series of screen prints, is simplified to the limit yet the smile and look of the actress is still quickly recognizable.
