Maya Hayuk has created her own style and imaginary. Her obsession for symmetry and psychedelia, her love for colourful patterns formed by drippy strokes of lush colors are inspired in mandalas, Ukrainian Easter eggs and Rorschach tests. The different dimensions elaborate her abstractions that mix pop culture, fine arts, geometrical forms and surrealist combinations.
Her large-scale murals can be seen on many cities all around the world such as Nueva York, las Bahamas, Rio de Janeiro or Eindhoven.
Maya Hayuk earned a BFA in Interrelated Media from Massachusetts College of Art and has studied at V.C.U., Richmond, VA, Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto, Canada, the University of Odessa, Odessa, Ukraine and at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Skowhegan, Maine.
When not traveling, Maya Hayuk develops her work in her active studio in Brooklyn, creating lower scale works and sketching in paint to build the large-mural works.
Hayuk also works for greater brands, and has elaborate designs for Vaio, Absolut Vodka or Billabong.
